• Come join us for 5 weeks of summer adventure and learn about the mysteries of the earth from dinosaurs to rocks, minerals and fossils.
  
  

• See demonstrations and learn the history of Early American arts and crafts.  Learn how early pioneers made their tools and clothing.  Learn how to make your own paper and make a coil pot from clay.
   
  

• Work with your team-mates to accomplish challenges you'll face going over the "WALL", through the "Spider Web" and more.
  
  

• How do the changes in our environment affect the animals; such as fire, floods and the weather?  Learn about the different habitats and diets of animals.

Week 1     July 10 - 13

• Explore the world of the dinosaurs and Ice Age Mammals.
• Learn how their lives were different and similar.
• Create your own Ice Age Mammal.
• Help build a papier-mâché dinosaur.
• Go digging for fossils.
• Hike to the Mammoth. 
• Collect rocks and much more.

Week 2    July 17 - 20

• Be prepared to challenge yourself and your team-mates as you go through the marshmallow pit, learn the secret of the spider web and go over the wall. 
• Participate in the Olympic Games.
• Build a shelter. 
• Learn emergency first aid. 
• Learn about plants and animals, and much more.

Week 3    July 24 - 27

• Pan for gold.
• Build a volcano.
• Collect rocks and fossils.  
• Do an Archeology Dig.
• Make your own dinosaur egg and dinosaur.  
• Learn about Native Americans and more.  
• Explore the different sciences.

Week 4    July 31 - August 3

• Learn the different types of rocks; igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic.  
• Make a rock collection.  
• What is a rock? 
• What is a mineral?  
• How many different minerals do you encounter in your everyday activities?
  

Week 5    August 7 - 10

• Learn about the lives of animals and birds; where they live, what they eat and how their environment changes and why.  
• Guest speakers, live animals, hiking, games and crafts.  
• Play trash volleyball, make paper, bird feeders and more. 
• Learn about worm composting.

Our Summer Nature School ends in August.

For Children 6 to 12

We have four to six weeks of nature school each summer.
These are day long activities with each week featuring a special subject, such as:

• Rocks and Minerals
• Fossils and Dinosaurs
• Archeology
• Hiking and Survival
• Native American Lore and Pioneer Skills
• Critter Worlds and Earth Works
• Team Building Skills
