how was the conch shell symbolism of power?
i know that the conch shell symbolizes power but like..how can i give proof to that?n and is it possible to use it as a point of losing innocence? please i need ur help..i read the book..but stil i cant understand some parts..thanks

Actually, for me, it symbolizes more on the remnants of order and conformity the boys' still have upon landing on the island.But yeah, it could show the power to speak or freedom to have say. It is shown as the boys take turns holding the conch shell to speak as to prevent chaos whenever they have an assembly .And yes, eventually it can be interpreted as a turning point of losing innocence when without any real form of laws or civilization, the boys turn to their basest animal instincts, succumb to sadism and anarchy, murdering Piggy and destroying the conch shell, signifying the end of their peaceful and civilized nature and fall from childhood innocence to brutal savagery.
